Richard L. Dana is an artist, based in Washington, DC, whose work ranges from painting, drawing, digital prints of images created via computer, mixed media and installations. He has staged 25 solo exhibitions and participated in over 100 group exhibitions.
Mr. Dana has exhibited his work extensively around the United States and in the following countries: Belgium, Brazil, Egypt, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Morocco, Russia, Senegal, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam.
The artist is self-taught. He has a BA in Russian Studies from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MA in International Relations from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies. Before dedicating his life to art, Mr. Dana worked as a Soviet Affairs expert and international economist in Washington, DC.
